Who we are
WorkBrief is a business management platform for trade companies, operated by WorkBrief (“we”, “us”, “our”). You can contact us at hello@getworkbrief.com.
What data we collect
- Your name and email address when you create an account
- Your business name, phone number, and trade information during onboarding
- Job, quote, and customer details you enter into the platform
- Names and phone numbers of workers and surveyors you add to your account
- WhatsApp messages sent through the platform between you and your team
Why we collect it
- To provide the service — your account, jobs, quotes, and team management all require storing this data. Our lawful basis is contract.
- To contact you about your account — service emails, not marketing. Our lawful basis is legitimate interest.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your data. We use two third-party services that process data on our behalf:
- Clerk — handles authentication. Stores your name, email, and password (hashed). Based in the US; covered by Standard Contractual Clauses. Clerk Privacy Policy

Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data
- Object to or restrict how we process your data
- Receive a copy of your data in a portable format
To exercise any of these rights, email us at hello@getworkbrief.com and we will respond within 30 days.
How long we keep it
We keep your data for as long as your account is active. If you close your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required by law to retain it (for example, financial records may be kept for up to 7 years).
Cookies
We use only essential cookies required for authentication (set by Clerk). We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
